CleanEraser / RUST REMOVAL SOLUTIONS

Laser rust removal.
A solution for your surface.

From individual parts to steel assemblies.

Describe the corrosion, your workpiece and the finish you need. We’ll help you evaluate laser cleaning options through an application review and a representative sample test.

START WITH THE PART

What does successful
rust removal mean to you?

The goal may be local corrosion removal, preparation for refinishing, or maintenance of an existing component. Define the required result before discussing a machine.

Material condition, access and the next production step all belong in the application brief. Removing rust is only one part of evaluating the workpiece.

01 / APPLICATION REVIEW

Steel structures & fabrications

Describe the area, profile geometry and required preparation before the next coating step.

02 / APPLICATION REVIEW

Components & maintenance parts

Identify critical dimensions, finish requirements and areas that must be protected.

03 / APPLICATION REVIEW

Marine & transport assemblies

Share corrosion history, working access and any existing coatings or residues.

01 / CHOOSE BY REQUIREMENT

Pulse or continuous?
Start with a tested result.

Explore both product families. The right configuration must meet your finish requirements and practical workload.

PULSE LASER CLEANING

Bring your surface requirements.

Discuss detailed parts, localized work and the acceptable changes to the underlying surface.

  • Which features or dimensions must be preserved?
  • What appearance or finish is acceptable?
  • How will the result be inspected?

CONTINUOUS LASER CLEANING

Bring your workload requirements.

Discuss cleaning area, access and handling when evaluating equipment for steelwork and maintenance tasks.

  • How much area needs treatment each day?
  • Can the workpiece be reached consistently?
  • What site preparation is needed?

Do not assume a universal cleaning speed or unchanged surface finish. Request a test of the proposed configuration on representative material.

02 / SEE WHAT WILL BE EVALUATED

Before and after.
With the conditions recorded.

Use the same workpiece and viewing conditions
to make the comparison useful.

What to include in a test record

Base material · Corrosion condition · Machine configuration · Treated area · Processing time · Number of passes · Acceptance criteria

03 / COMPARE ON THE SAME BASIS

Look beyond equipment price.

Compare a proposed laser process with your existing method using the same workpiece and acceptance criteria.

04 / YOUR FREE SAMPLE TEST

Turn a rusty sample
into a clearer decision.

Send your requirements first. We’ll discuss the evaluation and suitable equipment options with you.

Arrange a sample evaluation
  1. 01

    Share your application

Provide photographs, material, dimensions, cleaning area and target finish.

  2. 02

    Agree on the evaluation

Confirm test scope, sample suitability, shipping and return arrangements before dispatch.

  3. 03

    Review the next step

Discuss the evidence and proposed configuration before making an equipment decision.

05 / RUST REMOVAL QUESTIONS

Before you choose.

Prepare a more focused discussion with our team.

Can I test laser rust removal on my own part?

Yes. CleanEraser offers free sample testing for customers interested in our equipment. Agree on the sample, evaluation scope and shipping arrangements before sending your part.

Should I choose pulse or continuous laser cleaning?

Share the part material, corrosion condition, surface requirements and workload first. Compare suitable configurations through a sample test rather than selecting by power alone.

How quickly can my rusty part be cleaned?

A useful estimate requires a representative test. Record the cleaned area, processing time, number of passes and accepted finish, and account for part handling when estimating production capacity.

Will cleaning restore a corroded component?

Removing surface corrosion does not replace lost metal or establish structural fitness. Assess the condition of the component separately, especially where its dimensions or load-bearing function matter.

Can I paint the part immediately after cleaning?

Confirm the coating supplier’s surface preparation requirements, including cleanliness and surface profile. Agree on inspection and post-cleaning handling before adopting the process.

What should I send for a quotation?

Send photographs, base material, part dimensions, approximate cleaning area, corrosion condition, expected daily workload and target finish. Include your country and any site or production constraints.
